We're excited that you are interested in serving on the Worship Team at The Grove! The worship team consists of a passionate group of men, women, and even high school students that love using their talents and abilities to create environments where people can connect with Jesus without distraction.

Our full worship team consists of vocalists, musicians, sound and media technicians, and our backstage video crew that produce our livestream and podcast/download content.

TECH/MEDIA/VIDEO PRODUCTION

If you are interested in serving on any of our tech, media, or video production teams, please click the button below to fill out our volunteer form (just make sure to select the appropriate ministry options!).

​Background experience is always helpful, but never necessary. If you can click a mouse, push a button, and focus on the service and keeping everything running smoothly, we promise to teach you everything else as you go!

PLATFORM TEAM (VOCALISTS & MUSICIANS)

If you want to use your gifts and talents to lead from the front of the room during our worship services, we'd love to talk to you more about that!  There are three steps to applying/auditioning for the platform team at The Grove.

1. CAREFULLY READ THE EXPECTATIONS/REQUIREMENTS of worship team members.  You can click right here to download that PDF. Leading worship is about more than singing or playing an instrument, it's about modeling a godly lifestyle both on and off stage. Make sure that you are ready to make that commitment by, again, carefully reading over this document.

2. FILL OUT THE WORSHIP TEAM APPLICATION. You can click the button at the bottom of this section or click right here to access that form.  Make sure to fill out everything completely and to the best of your ability!

3. SUBMIT A VIDEO AUDITION/DEMO. Use any online video platform (Youtube, Vimeo, etc.) to upload a video of you singing or playing, and e-mail the link to [email protected]. See the requirements below for singers/musicians. Please note - your application is not complete until video links have been received. 

Singers/vocalists - please submit a video of you singing at least one verse and chorus of one upbeat worship song and one mid/low tempo worship song. You can sing with a track/recording or without. Also, demonstrating whether or not you can also harmonize is helpful (especially if you consider yourself a background vocalist), but not necessary during this step.

Musicians/instrumentalists - please submit a video of you playing your instrument. Ideally you will be playing along with either a track/recording of a worship song, or live with other musicians. Having a variety of play styles/tempos/etc. is also helpful, but not necessary. 
​*** Note - while you are welcome to submit an audition for any instrument, we are mostly looking for rhythm and lead guitar players, bass players, keyboardists, and drummers/percussionists. We may incorporate other instruments from time to time, but not regularly.
