Welcome to the 2026 Season of Upward Sports at The Grove! We are blessed to have the facilities and resources to offer the Upward program as a way to promote the discovery of Jesus Christ through sports. Here are a few bits of information to help you plan for the season:

  • Thursday 9/3: “Tip Off 2026” – (meet your team and get your uniforms)
  •  Week of 9/7: 1st week of practices 
  • Week of 9/14: 2nd week of practices
  • Saturday 9/19: 1st Game Day
  • Saturday 9/26: 2nd Game Day
  • Saturday 10/3: 3rd Game Day
  • Saturday 10/10: 4th Game Day
  • Saturday 10/17: 5th Game Day
  • Saturday 10/24: 6th Game Day
  • Saturday 10/31: 7th (Final Game Day)
  • Monday 11/2: Awards Night

Team Formations

We recognize the need to have certain kids on certain teams for a variety of reasons (logistics, friendships, brothers/sisters, etc.)  We will do our very best to meet these needs.  Please let us know in the carpool link or notes section on the registration form.

We need coaches for all age groups for both basketball and cheerleading. If you’re willing, please fill out the volunteer section when you register.  There is a coach’s discount in addition to the early registration discounts.  Please let Scott Hobart know what age group and which sport.
