EVALUATIONS
You will need to attend ONE of the evaluations (skill assessments). We try to determine your child's abilities through a variety of fun drills that focus on: speed, dribbling, and shooting from a variety of distances. This data will assist us in evenly placing the teams to the best of our ability. This is not a tryout, however, we are requiring that all age divisions must come to ONE of the two evaluations. When you arrive on campus, you will be temp checked, and be required to wear masks while your child's registration form is confirmed. Then you will enter the gym, your child will run through the drills, and we ask that you exit so that a new group can begin. You be contacted asap from your coach about practice times.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What about makeup games?
There are 6 games and 8 practices scheduled unless extreme weather prevents us from meeting. Makeup games will be announced through our Facebook page and coach communication via text/email.
What makes Upward different than other programs?
We believe in developing children using the 360 degree progression (Mentally, Athletically, Socially, and Spiritually). Not only do we teach the fundamentals of sports, but we also teach children how to make better choices in their lives. We don't force our beliefs on our families, but we do introduce Jesus to children and families in a loving way by teaching virtues such as commitment, respect, trust, and compassion. Click HERE for more details about Upward Sports.
Our rules progressively get harder and more comprehensive the older your child is. Email Travis for more specifics. Winning is fun, but it is NOT our main focus. We teach that a spirit of competition is healthy and encouraged, but that there is much more to life than a game.
Contact Travis for more information. Please begin praying for God's love to be seen in all that we do and say throughout the season.

PARENT EXPECTATIONS/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
PARENT EXPECTATIONS:
A positive attitude is an extremely important element in our fundamental league. We expect all people watching the children play to remember this is supposed to be a fun experience as children are learning the game. Our coaches and referees are volunteers, so we ask that you are respectful in your actions and your words. Coach your children up during the week, but at practices and games...this is the coach's responsibility, NOT yours.
WE WANT YOU!
If you love Jesus, like basketball/cheerleading, and working with children, prayerfully consider coaching, refereeing, or game day volunteering. We offer discounts for coaches, but you must attend our mandatory coaches meeting. Check out the Coach's page for the latest news from Travis!
