Men's Ministry
Every day, every hour and every minute, the ultimate goal for all Christians is to strive to be like Christ. "Discipline yourself for the purpose of Godliness." 1 Timothy 4:7 NASB. Our mission is to grow spiritually in Christ with an understanding that we are failures on our own without Christ. This involves men coming together with open hearts and open minds knowing and believing that we will be more like Christ with continual accountability, support and fellowship with other Christian men.
Core Values
»Ministry - Every Christian man has the responsibility to be concerned about the lives of those the Father has put near him. This begins by being involved in the lives of those in the home, continues to the church, and into the neighborhood where the man lives.
»Evangelism – Every Christian man has the responsibility of being a good Christian example to everyone he comes into contact with. He should be ready to share Christ directly or indirectly at any time.
»Missions – Every Christian man has the responsibility to learn how and be involved with spreading the Gospel around the world. This involvement is accomplished through mission education and mission involvement.
»Fellowship – Every Christian man has the responsibility to fellowship with other men. This can be accomplished through accountability groups or fellowship groups of common interests. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship…” Acts 2:42
»Stewardship – As Christians we are given the responsibility to be good stewards of God's gifts and blessings. Of those that often present the greatest challenges on a daily basis in our walk are our time, money, and talents. In the spirit of community this ministry will serve to steward the wise and Biblical use of these gifts to strengthen one and strengthen all.
»Bible Study – Every Christian man has the responsibility to grow in his knowledge of scripture and be ready to teach it to others.
Why is Men’s Ministry important in all churches?
For every ten men in your church…
»Nine will have kids who leave the church.
»Eight will not find their jobs satisfying.
»Six pay the monthly minimum on their credit car balances.
»Five have a major problem with pornography.
»Four will get divorced affecting 1,000,000 children per year.
»Only one has a Biblical worldview.
»Ten will struggle to balance work and family.
Our Approach
»Purpose: Our purpose in Mission Possible is to support and hold each other accountable in our goal of becoming Christ-like.
»Objective: Our objective to fulfill that purpose is to empower men for His service through weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly personal involvements with bible studies, fellowship, community service, mission endeavors, etc.
»Strategy Statement: Strong men strengthen families. Families strengthen the church. A strong church reaches the world for Christ.
»Vision Statement: Create an environment in which men will sense and respond to God's call to simply be godly men for our church, community and our homes. To become Acts 1:8 Christians, and honor the Great Commission and Commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ through their churches and personal lives.
